It has been a long time since I have done an installment of this. The first was here.
Yeah it has been that long since we have gotten the pictures of her little camera. For a while the batteries were dead.
She has definitely improved in her photography skills. But her favorite subject still tends to be herself. I consider it part of the Facebook generation. Being well versed in the art of self portraits is important.
I am a bit concerned that she is already doing the “duck face”
And she also does the obligatory bathroom mirror shot. I figure it will get better as she gets a little taller. LOL
She really has had improvement in taking pics of others. Most of our face gets in the frame now.
She has also started taking pics of random objects. And some of them seem to be on purpose.
Some… not so much on purpose
But her new favorite subject? Her baby sister. She has a pretty willing model. Mainly because she can’t get away yet.
Finally, I was able to snap a sweet one of my favorite subjects. I love those two girls!
One Year Ago Today: Ready For The Masters
Filed under Cadence, Hadley
Cady and Hadley have been interacting more and more lately. It is easily my favorite thing in the world. I want nothing more than for them to be the best of friends as they grow up. I was able to catch them earlier this week playing together. It is actually more like Cady was playing WITH Hadley. She is like her own living, breathing baby doll.
Hadley was a good sport, but soon the make over became tiring.
I’m not sure she was a fan of the final outcome.
One Year Ago Today: Empty Playroom
This was our Christmas card this year. We want to wish you all the happiest of holidays.
Here’s a confession: I am going to be *that* mom. You know, that mom that is going to match/coordinate her children at every chance possible. I figure I have a small window in which they will be willing, so I am going to take advantage of it while I am able. As soon as I found out Hadley was Hadley and not… whatever we would have named a boy… I started thinking about coordinating Christmas pajamas for her and Cady. Yes, this means I was searching for Christmas pj’s in July. Don’t judge me. It is actually difficult to coordinate toddler and newborn sizes. Everything cute would start at 6 months.
I would love to have coordinating pj’s for the whole family. I won’t name names (*cough*jason*cough*) but someone is a party pooper. So until I can wear him down, I will have to settle with coordinating the girls.
This year I bought not one, but two sets of matching jammies. I couldn’t help myself. The other set is being saved for Christmas Eve/Christmas morning, but I decided to bust this set out this week. I love them so much. And of course, while we had two good moods happening I set up a quick photo shoot.
Hadley was a bit unimpressed.
How about no one look at the camera. Perfect 😉
We were really struggling to find a position in which Hadley was happy and didn’t look like a total rag doll.
This might work
One of these girls is actually asleep and one is playing possum. I will let you decide which one.
And just a couple of big sister by herself
So sorry that I have disappeared. Blogging has not topped my priority list. But we are getting into a great routine and Jason has been a great help. As I type Hadley is sleeping next to me and Jason and Cady are playing hide and seek, her new favorite game.
We’ve really just been trying to get used to our new normal. Last week our first full week by ourselves during the day. I think we did pretty good. Cady made it to dance class and school. This weekend we were able to do some Christmas shopping. Hadley and I even got some done on our own today.
A couple of weekends ago we got newborn pictures taken of Hadley. No, we didn’t do this for Cady, but Cady also had hundreds of pictures taken of her in the first few days of her life. Hadley probably only has 30 or so. Picture taking has also suffered along with blogging. So Hadley’s little modeling session makes up for it in a way. The photographer we used (Mulberry Dreams) did a fabulous job. Hadley was a bit more alert than we had hoped, but Tiffany still captured some amazing shots. These are just a few of my very favorites. I am so in love with all of them.
I promise I will definitely be back for Cady’s monthly post and for Hadley’s very first monthly post (it has gone by so fast). But I also hope to have some holiday stuff to post soon too.
