We celebrated Cady’s 4th birthday on Saturday.
We threw a party for her at her dance studio. I asked Cady several times what she wanted as a birthday theme. The only thing she requested was a pinata. So I had full control of Cady’s party for probably the last time. I chose a “Candy Land” theme. Thanks to Pinterest I found TONS of cute ideas to use.
My friend Angela designed some awesome invitations once again (Save the Date Originals). She actually made it really difficult because she designed three invitations that were perfect, so I really struggled with choosing just one. Here is what I decided on (with personal info blurred, of course).
We are lucky enough to be a part of a great dance studio and we were able to use some space there for the party. It was a great blank canvas.
With a candy/sweets theme, you have to have a candy buffet, right?
I made candy coated popcorn, cake pops, and then turkey rollups and pinwheels to have something not candy related. We also had Skittles, cupcakes, gummy bears, rainbow Twizzlers, Sour Patch Kids, and Jolly Ranchers.
The cupcakes turned out so cute. I love the little toppers. I got them and the favor stickers from Etsy. I don’t recommend the shop I got them from, but they are adorable.
Inside was a pinwheel, a big rainbow sucker, a rock candy sucker, sidewalk chalk, a coloring/activity book, crayons, a slinky, a punchball balloon, an ice cream shooter, and a toothbrush 😉 TONS of good stuff
Several of Cady’s friends have little brothers and sisters, and I didn’t want to leave them out. They got a little goody pack with a coloring book, crayons and rainbow Goldfish crackers
I also set up a little backdrop area to take some pics of the kids.
We had a bean bag toss, a ring toss, Pin the Horn on the Unicorn, and of course, Cady’s pinata. Unfortunately, I didn’t get pictures of either the Pin the Horn on the Unicorn or the pinata. Kind of sad about that.
Had to get some shots of the birthday girl before the party started
As always, Becca did such a great job on her shirt. She took a few different things and put them together to make it exactly what I wanted.
We also grabbed a couple of family pics before the party started.
The kids decorated gingerbread people.
They ran around and played with the balloons.
The pinata was a hit (even with no pictures). Cady said it was her favorite part of the whole party.
Blowing out her candle
My favorite part of the party were the super sweet friends
Sweet baby sister was there too
Cady didn’t have all the fun. Hadley’s buddy, Grayson, came with his big sister, Charlotte. Hadley also wanted to invite her buddy, Harvey.
It was such a fun time with so many of our favorite people!!! Thank you friends and Happy Birthday, Cady Cupcake!!!
