21 Months Old

Happy 21 Months Cady Cupcake!

Just a few short months and this girl will be two. I can’t believe it.

The theme this month has been Miss Independent. She has really wanted to do things herself. And many things she can.

She can put on most pairs of shoes by herself, although it isn’t guaranteed they are on the right feet.

She can undress herself. Redressing is another story. Everything goes on her legs, even tops.

One of her independent streaks has come in Kindermusik. Most of the time the kids sit in the mom’s lap and we do the motion to show them or sometimes we even do the motions for them. Cady has been having none of that. She likes to sit by herself and do the motions all by herself. Its been really adorable to see her listenting to Miss Sandy and following directions (most of the time).

I can’t believe its been 21 months. I know she is only going to get more and more independent. I also know the next 3 months are going to fly by.

Halloween Festivities 2009

We woke up and head out to Zoo Boo during the day on Halloween. It was a perfect day for the zoo. In an attempt to not make Cady hate her Dorothy costume even more I decided to go with her cheerleader outfit for Zoo Boo.

We met up with her good friend, Charlotte, at the zoo.

The girls rode the carousel

They did a little trick or treating

We all parted ways and took the girls home to get some good naps in. We met back up at our house so Cady and Charlotte could trick or treat around our neighborhood together

Charlotte was the Wicked Witch of the East (before the house fell on her) and Cady was Dorothy. (We didn’t even plan this. )

We headed out. The girls weren’t completely sure about what to do at first.

But they caught on REALLY quickly

This one cracks me up because its just one of Cady’s crazy faces. (They had spooky music playing)

And just in case you were wondering, we were able to get Cady to say “Trick or Treat” finally. I didn’t think to get a video while she was in costume, but you get the idea.

Hope your Halloween was as fun as ours.
