In the second one, she isn’t too thrilled about the water in her face. She still loves her pool though
Monthly Archives: April 2009
We bought Cady a little baby pool. This thing is big time. Jason finally mowed the yard and we had a very warm, sunny day. It was perfect for a little pool action.
She was cautious at first. I don’t blame her though. That water was cold.
She finally got in.
And then quickly got out
Jason tried helping her with the slide. I don’t know if you can see her face well enough to tell that she was NOT a fan of this slide.
She was pretty content just playing WITH the sprinklers, rather than IN them.
She did finally decide that being in the pool was the place to be
I just love her face in this one. She is so serious about the sprinklers
She did a little dolphin riding
Some ring stacking
She was finally in love with the pool
I have a couple of videos, but I’ll save those for later since this was such a big post.
is usually the time we spend outside. Its gotten rather warm here over the last few days (near 90’s), so our outside time has been pushed back to around 6. I think this is working perfectly. Its a nice time for Cady to run around and get rid of some energy before bed, plus the lighting is amazing for pictures.
I would like to add that our grass is currently out of control. Jason usually mows every weekend, but it rained non stop last weekend and he has been out of town this week, so Cady is trudging through some tall grass. He’ll get it fixed this weekend for sure.
Cady has become obsessed with peeping through the fence into the neighbor’s backyards. This doesn’t bode well for the future, I’m sure
“Oh hey mom. I’m not doing anything….”
Many of you know how much I enjoy when my child traps herself in a goofy manner. So when she flipped a chair on top of her you know I had to get a picture of it. (She’s fine. No tears even.)
I’ve been doing so well with posting every (week) day. I’m going to try to keep it up but Cady has not been giving me the material this week. Stay tuned.
I was trying to think up new songs and nursery rhymes to sing with Cady. I came up with “Where is Thumbkin”
She had an interesting reaction
This happened every time. And I can’t figure it out.
playing in! Cady thought Daddy’s boots were fun.
I have had several friends and readers ask me about recipes. I, on average, cook 4 meals a week. I have just recently developed a love for cooking so I am loving experimenting and trying new things.I wanted to find a way to share my recipes and cooking adventures with people, but I don’t want to clutter Cady’s blog with all that stuff. So I’ve started a new blog.
Right now its just the recipes as I make them, but I hope to add in pictures. I just have a hard time remembering to take them while I’m in the cooking zone.
Check it out and bookmark it if you are interested at all.
Oh and FYI, it won’t contain anything about Cady other than how she liked the recipes. I won’t be posting pictures of her there or anything of that nature. This is still going to be Cady Central.
Finally. I have been wanting to take Cady out to the bluebonnet fields and take some pictures of her. Its a long drive and the timing has just not worked out. So when I heard that there were some bluebonnets in our area , I knew I we were going to take advantage of them.
It wasn’t quite a field of bluebonnets. It was more like a ditch with some bluebonnets in it. I’m a good mommy blogger and do what I have to do to get the good pictures. Even if it means letting my daughter play in a ditch.
The smiles were few and far between. We went early in the day and Cady was being a bit of a priss about the dew.
this is what I was doing…
And now 4 short (or long, depending on the day) years later, look at us
Happy Anniversary Jason!
I love you.
Happy 14 Months Cady Cupcake!
I actually have measurements this month. No, we didn’t go to the doctor. I got on the Wii Fit with her to get her weight and chased her around the house with a measuring tape to figure out her height. She is 21 lbs and 32 inches tall. So, slowly packing on the pounds.
I’ve been told that there will be a language explosion around this time. I can see that beginning to happen. Its still mostly only things that I can understand (Jason still has trouble with it sometimes). But here are her words: Mama, Dada, doggy, outside, tree, duck, she can “Quack Quack” like a duck as well, bye, ball, and baby.
Her level of understanding amazes me every day. I feel like there isn’t much I say to her that she doesn’t comprehend.
Discipline isn’t the nicest thing to talk about, but it is part of development. She is getting in trouble and testing me (and Jason) a lot more. She has started to hit. That’s our current big discipline issue. I feel like she is constantly finding new things to get in to. Good and bad.
She is climbing a lot more. I guess one of us forgot to push her high chair into the table and I caught her climbing into it. She has no fear when it comes to things like that.
She is changing so much that one day is definitely not like the next. Its something new all the time.
We love you Cady Cupcake!
