10 Months Old

How in the world did this happen? How did my sweet baby girl become a 10 month old toddler?

So what is Cady up to at 10 months?

She sleeps around 10-12 hours a night. We start our bedtime routine around 7 and she is normally in the crib by 7:30-7:45. She won’t wake up until around 7:30 or 8 in the morning. This would make a mommy happy if her husband didn’t wake her up at 5:45 every morning. Also, this weekend she has started taking only one nap a day. This is great for running errands and planning our day, but it makes getting chores done around the house a little more difficult.

She is completely off bottles. She hasn’t taken a bottle in over a month. We are still working on transitioning from the soft spout cups to the firm spout with the valve. She has the basic sucking motion she needs down. I think she is just not keen on the feel of the spout. She will get it though.

She isn’t a full time walker just yet. I noticed today she was doing a little more walking than crawling, but crawling is the old standby when she wants to get somewhere quick.

She is really into clapping right now. We clap about pretty much everything. I say “we” because she wants you to clap along with her. It was difficult to get the 10 month picture without clapping in it

She also loves giving kisses and hugs. This is definitely my favorite thing ever. Its so nice for her to run over while she is playing and give a hug and then go back to playing. I just never knew how amazing it would feel to have affection returned from her. So unbelievable.

We are all really looking forward to celebrating our first Christmas as a family of 3.

Cady told me she wants pierced ears from Santa!

Cady has lost her damn mind. 😉 Any piercings Cady gets must be funded by her own money and the decision made when she understands that a hole is being poked through her skin
