We had Cady’s birthday party of Valentine’s Day back home in the Ark. We kept it pretty low key. Just immeadiate family and close friends. It turned out perfectly.
I like to pretend I am crafty, so I made a sign to hang.

I was rather impressed with how it turned out.
If you can’t tell, the theme of the party was cupcakes. So we had an awesome local bakery make cupcakes.

Once again, they turned out even better than I could have hoped. (I also made the cupcake tower. Maybe I am crafty after all.)
The Birthday Girl arrived with her Nana and took some time out to get a picture with Mommy and Daddy.

She then spotted her balloons.

She was way into the balloons.

Her BFF, Paxtin, also got in on a little of that balloon action.

Cady is an unbelievably blessed little girl, and got so many great things.

I asked anyone who asked to get her books, so her library is definitely increased in size. You can never have too many books

I think she (and Mom and Dad, too) was still a little a little overwhelmed with the generosity of our friends and family. Like I said she is a blessed little girl

After gifts it was time for her cupcake. We sang “Happy Birthday”

And then we let her at it

She was a little timid at first, but she ended up diving in.

I did hear some disappointment that she didn’t get messier, but I think she enjoyed herself. What do you think?

Like I said earlier, the party was a huge success. I think all our guests had a good time and I really think Cady had a great time.
